The version of the HRFIO board installed in the FLEX-5000 determines what antenna connectors are available for different modules installed in the FLEX-5000 such as the RX2 (second receiver) and internal transverter

All RF connections on FLEX-5000 models are made through a rear panel board called the HRFIO, also abbreviated as the RFIO board. There are currently two versions of this board in use that are designated by assembly numbers (ASSY:). They are boards numbered 27 and 34 respectively.

ANT 1-3 as HF transceiver ports (RX1 and TX)

 
Dedicated RX only antenna connector for RX1 (RX1-IN)    
Dedicated RX only antenna connector for RX2 (RX2-IN)    
RX1 "loop" for inserting RX only devices in the RX1 signal path    
RX2 tap off of the RX1 signal path post the RX loop for SO2R operation with multiband antennas
   
Separate input and output for the 28 MHz IF used by external transverters
   
Common input and output for the 28 MHz IF used by external transverters    
 Connections for internal VHF/UHF Upgrade Module
   
Connect RX2 to the ANT1 UHF connector for SO2R operation with separate antennas and amplifiers for each band..  
 
Required for proper operation of the FLEX-VU5K (V/U module)    
ANT1-3 connectors for 6m transmissions
